Assistant Service Manager

Lloyd Motor Group has a great opportunity for an experienced Assistant Service Manager to join their management team and assist in leading the service department at Lloyd Land Rover, York.

The role will include influencing the success of a busy service department, working with prestige brands and managing the daily workload of your Service Advisor team.

Salary: Basic £40,000 + Bonus

Hours: 42.5 per week

Role responsibilities:

• In conjunction with the Head of Service, drive additional business within the aftersales department and to highlight new opportunities.
• Overseeing a team of Service Advisors managing daily workload to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Carrying out review meetings/reporting and improving on Department performance through target given objectives.
• Dealing with all customers in a professional, prompt and courteous manner, portraying a positive impression of the Service Department.
• An understanding of the warranty process, ensuring claims are submitted accurately and in a timely manner.
• To create robust reports for the Service Manager on group and individual performance.

An ideal Assistant Service Manager will hold the following skills and experiences:

• Previous experience in the automotive industry as a Service Manager or Assistant Service Manager.
• Mechanical knowledge at basic level as a minimum.
• Motivated, with a proactive approach to customer service.
• Enjoy the challenge of influencing the success of the Services department.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and be well presented.
• Must be IT literate, and a working knowledge of Kerridge.
• People management skills.
