The new BMW X7 isn’t shy. Charismatic design features make it stand out, from the new one-piece kidney grille to the expressive lines that flow elegantly to the eye-catching 3D L-shaped LED taillights. Add to this the brilliant 21” light alloy wheels, and curious eyes won’t know where to look.
Sitting in the new BMW X7 simply feels different. It still evokes that unique BMW feeling with its Individual Extended Merino leather upholstery and dynamic ambient lighting; however, thanks to the Panorama Glass Sunroof, which comes as standard, and the new optional 6-seat configuration with two captain-style comfort seats in the second row, it also has the power to surprise the senses.
With 340hp and 450Nm of torque, the new BMW X7 xDrive40i and its TwinPower Turbo 6 cylinder inline engine add an air of authority to the journey. Also available is a BMW X7 xDrive30d model, which packs 265hp and 620Nm. Other features include the generous ground clearance, the optional xOffroad package with four off-road settings, and underbody sump guard protection.
Enhanced connectivity makes this driving experience even more intuitive. By combining the new operating system 7.0 with the latest Digital Live Cockpit Professional and a Large Central Display, adventures are elevated with modern touches of luxury. What’s more, with BMW ConnectedDrive and the optional Driving Assistant Professional, the journey is now even more personalised and streamlined. And with the new Intelligent Personal Assistant, which learns and remembers driver behaviour, the new BMW X7 seamlessly integrates the journey with everyday life.

Information plusFor anyone who has ever wanted to know what it is like to have their own personal butler, here is their chance: with Information Plus from BMW ConnectedDrive. At the push of a button the driver is connected with a BMW Call Centre agent who acts as their "personal assistant" on the road.
From a particular restaurant to the nearest cash dispenser or an emergency pharmacy – the BMW Call Centre agent is there to help and can even send information directly to the navigation system. Information Plus operates independently of the driver's mobile phone and are available in their home country and abroad, around-the-clock, seven days a week and at no extra cost.
Online entertainmentThe perfect song for every situation, every road and every mood. Online Entertainment offers direct and unlimited access to more than 22 million music titles inside the BMW – all without a smartphone or other device. There are plenty of tracks here to suit every taste. As soon as an artist's song or album is played in the car, it is automatically downloaded to the car's hard disc. For guaranteed listening enjoyment without any interruptions.
With the Online Entertainment offer, a flat-rate account lasting one year can be opened with any BMW music partner, for example with Napster, that can be used in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands without any additional costs.
Additionally, when listenting to the radio, there's a recognition feature that will display the track, artist and album, and allows you to start streaming the album, or any other by the artist. All while the track continues to play.
Remote servicesWith Remote Services and the free MyBMW Remote App (available in the Apple App Store and Google Play store), various vehicle-related functions, such as locking and unlocking the car, can be operated remotely. It is also possible to directly transmit selected destinations found using the GoogleTM search engine. In addition, the car's location can be shown within a radius of 1.5 km.
RealTime trafficReal Time Traffic Information (RTTI) provides the most up-to-date traffic information at all times. Precise details about the time and duration of hold-ups are relayed to provide almost instantaneous traffic information about motorways, country roads and main roads, as well as numerous urban routes. Intelligent alternative route suggestions help the driver reach their destination as efficiently as possible. The data is drawn from such sources as anonymous movement profiles from the GPS data of vehicle fleets, smartphone apps and police reports, and also takes into account established traffic patterns such as peak commute times.
Driving Assistance PlusDriving Assistant Plus not only includes the Driver Assistance systems, Lane Departure Warning, approach control and person warning with light city braking function, but also the active cruise control with Stop&Go function for additional comfort.
Head-up DisplayThe full colour BMW Head-up Display projects all information relevant to the journey directly into the driver's field of vision, thereby allowing them to fully concentrate on driving. The display includes data such as speed, navigation tips, speed limit information, no-overtaking indicator, telephone and entertainment lists, along with information and warnings from the various driver assistance systems.
Park AssistPark Assist makes parallel parking easier. Whether activated or not, the system measures potential spaces while driving past at a low speed (below 21 mph) and at a maximum distance of 1.5 m from the row of parked cars. When a large enough gap has been found, the driver simply turns on the indicator and Park Assist takes over the steering, while the driver continues to operate the accelerator, gears and brakes. The system also gives instructions in the Control Display and additional acoustic signals. So the driver can stay relaxed and enjoy greater safety while parking.
BMW Night VisionBMW Night Vision with person recognition provides the driver with a range of vision that well exceeds the beam of light from the headlights, making it possible to identify people and large animals from a significant distance at night.
An infrared camera mounted on the BMW kidney grille transmits images from the front of the vehicle onto the Control Display. This allows the driver to identify people and animals at a distance of up to about 300 metres.
While taking account of the vehicle speed and steering angle, the system also calculates whether the identified objects pose an actual risk. In the event of acute danger, a flashing red icon (animal or person) is displayed in the video image and in the optional BMW Head-up Display. An acoustic alarm is also sounded and the brakes are primed for optimum readiness.
This warning system is automatically activated when the vehicle is started. In the event of danger, the system therefore even emits a warning when the imaging display has not been activated. BMW Night Vision with person recognition is an innovation from BMW ConnectedDrive.
Had an issue with my auto gear selector. Took the car, initially for diagnostic, and then to have the repair work done. From start to finish, Lloyd's BMW Blackpool were amazing. All the staff are friendly & helpful but special thanks goes to service advisor Courtney. She's gone above & beyond over the last week to ensure everything went smoothly. Top dealership.
