Staff at Lloyd Jaguar Land Rover have taken part in a charity race night to raise money for two local charity partners, the Eden Valley Hospice and Blood Bikes Cumbria.

The staff event, which took place at the end of June, raised over £600, with over 60 Lloyd Jaguar Land Rover employees taking part.

The charity race night was organised and supported by Ian Milburn of IM Events and was hosted at The Halston in Carlisle. The £600 raised was supplemented with a further donation of £1,000 from IM Events linked to a previous event which Lloyd Jaguar Land Rover sponsored.

Steve Trickett, Head of Business at Lloyd JLR said: “The strategy of our charity sponsorship is focused on partnerships with those who are active across our local community.”

Lloyd staff got involved in the fundraising after winning a number of national awards and discussions began on how to celebrate. Steve Trickett added: “Staff from across all areas of our business took part. It was a really good opportunity to bring everyone together, celebrate our recent success and raise money for two important local charities.”

Earlier this year Lloyd Jaguar was awarded “UK Retailer of the year” and Lloyd Land Rover was recognised for the second consecutive year as the “UK Group of the year”.
