The i4 will be bridging the gap between the i3 hatchback and the i8 sports models. The i4 will be a four-door coupe saloon which will come with a choice between front wheel and all-wheel drive and hit 62mph in 4.0 seconds.
Expected to be available from £55,000 with the i4 will also have an S model available. BMW are hoping to increase the range to 435 miles per charge to give it longest range of any electric car on the market, yet still offering a powerful 350bhp output.
