The interior of the new ID.5 is so intelligently and spaciously designed that it offers you and your family an impressive sense of space. You notice this the moment you get in: plenty of legroom, a variable centre console and comfortable seats. This is rounded out by a central touch display of 32.7 cm (12.9 inches) together with a multifunction steering wheel featuring touch operation and vibration feedback. The background lighting in your chosen colours emphasises the lounge character. With no centre tunnel the floor in the rear is completely flat which makes for additional space to emphasise the inspiring dimensions.

Charging your Volkswagen ID. model is now even more convenient: with Plug & Charge, the new standard for convenient charging. In the all-electric ID.5, an optional heat pump ensures energy-efficient heating of the vehicle interior. The energy saved here has a positive effect on the range.

The route planner in the ID.5 supports you in everyday driving by planning preferred charging points in your navigation route and intelligently optimising both the route and required charging times.

This car has a new sound
The quietness of an electric vehicle depends completely on the vehicle in question. In order to make road traffic safer, your ID.5 is quieter inside and then slightly louder outside using the exterior e-sound up to a speed of 30 km/h (18mph). This ensures that it is noticed more easily by pedestrians. The futuristic composition underlines its visionary identity and at the same time serves as an artificially generated vehicle noise so that the practically silent electric drives can be heard by pedestrians and cyclists.

Panoramic sunroof

The ID.5 offers an optional with a panoramic glass roof which is an eye-catching feature with its enormous glazed area extending over practically the entire width of the roof.

Ambient lighting

Give your ID.5 more personality. Choose from 30 digital colours as standard in the ambient lighting package and gently illuminate the vehicle interior, including dash panel, mobile phone tray and doors. Whether cooler or warm lighting – it is completely up to you.

Voice assistant with ChatGPT

The digital services from We Connect Start turn the new ID.5 into a connected car as the built-in SIM card can connect the vehicle to the Internet upon request. Real-time traffic information, charging stations with charging status, prices and opening times can be consulted.

Park Assist Plus

If you opt for Park Assist Plus with memory function, part of the Driver Assistance Pack Plus, your new ID.5 can detect suitable parking spaces, up to a speed of 24 mph, Park Assist Plus permanently searches for suitable parallel parking spaces. Up to a speed of 12 mph it also searches for parking bays.

Driver Assistance Systems

At Volkswagen, IQ.DRIVE stands for all intelligent driver assistance systems. The Side Assist lane change system can alert you to dangerous lane changes. An LED lamp in the exterior mirror shows you when a vehicle is in your blind spot or approaching quickly from behind.
