Bodyshop Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bodyshop Manager to join Lloyd Motor Group based in Newcastle.

Salary: Basic Salary with OTE of £75,000
Hours: 40 hours per week

Role responsibilities:

• Oversee daily Bodyshop operations, managing workflow from vehicle intake to delivery while ensuring repairs meet manufacturer and BSI standards.
• Lead and coordinate technicians, painters, estimators, and administrative staff to maximise productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Deliver excellent customer service by handling enquiries, resolving complaints, providing repair updates, and liaising with insurers and fleet customers.
• Manage recruitment, training, performance reviews, scheduling, and health & safety compliance across the workshop.
• Monitor budgets, costs, profitability, and KPIs including labour sales, efficiency, cycle time, material usage, and customer satisfaction.
• Approve estimates and invoices, maximise repair revenue, and ensure all vehicles pass quality control checks prior to handover.

An ideal Bodyshop Manager will hold the following skills and experiences:

• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Good knowledge of Bodyshop and accident repair operations
• Understanding of estimating/VDA and insurance repair processes
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong commercial awareness, organisation, and time management skills
• Previous experience in a Bodyshop or accident repair environment
• Background in roles such as Panel Technician, VDA/Estimator, Workshop Controller, or Assistant Manager
• ATA accreditation advantageous
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience working in KPI-driven, insurance-approved repair environments preferred
