The Electric Car Grant is a UK Government grant to promote the purchase of certain new electric vehicles. Selected Volkswagen ID.4 trims are currently pending eligibility approval for this scheme. If these trims are approved and included in the scheme, then customers purchasing a qualifying vehicle will receive £1,500 off the purchase price through the Government grant where the final purchase price of the vehicle paid by the customer is below £42,000. The purchase price is defined by the UK Government/OZEV as RRP (including VAT) plus options, plus VED and minus any cash discounts a Retailer or Volkswagen UK may wish to offer. For more information on the grant, please visit https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/electric-car-grant-launched. If the trims do not become eligible for the Electric Car Grant, then Volkswagen will ensure – through the Volkswagen UK Grant Guarantee – that qualifying customers purchasing selected ID.4 trims will receive an equivalent discount of £1,500 where the final purchase price of the vehicle paid by the customer is below £42,000. The saving of £1,500 will be automatically applied to the on-the-road price on the retail invoice for your vehicle.
