Due to continued growth within the business, an exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Administrator to join the Payroll and HR team at Lloyd Motor Group based in Carlisle.

Salary: Competitive
Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.)

Flexibility on hours of work will be considered.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with payroll administrative tasks related to the processing of monthly payrolls for circa 1,500 + employees (divided into 25 payroll companies). 

Role responsibilities:

  • Assist with processing monthly payrolls using Moorepay software.
  • Check payslips against information submitted by the Retailer Accountants.
  • Other ad hoc administrative duties to support the wider HR Team e.g. Mail, reference requests, stationery order, filing and scanning, co-ordinate any in-house training events.

Ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes: -

  • Previous experience / knowledge of payroll is desirable.
  • Accuracy and ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to use initiative and work unsupervised at times.
  • A great team player, working alongside others with integrity, positivity and respect.
  • Confidentiality and discretion are a must.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • IT literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook). Previous experience of using a payroll software would be advantageous.
