Meet Aftersales Manager, Ed!

In his role as Aftersales Manager, Ed oversees our successful West Cumbria aftersales operation to ensure proficiency and satisfaction.

Hi Ed, tell us about your Lloyd journey so far.

“I started my Lloyd journey back in 2012 at Lloyd Volvo Cockermouth as a Service Advisor, later progressing into a vehicle progressor role to help broaden my product knowledge. 4 years later I moved to Carlisle BMW where I worked up to Senior Advisor, then Assistant Service Manager at MINI Carlisle. After returning from working elsewhere for 2 years, I have returned as Aftersales Manager here at Lloyd West Cumbria.” 

What do you enjoy most about working for Lloyd West Cumbria?

“The challenge of taking on a new brand in VW for the group. There is a fantastic opportunity to grow our aftersales department and make a positive impression for Lloyd under the Volkswagen group.” 

What's the best advice you've ever been given?

“In every situation, take a step back and consider all options and opinions before making a decision.”

Our Service Advisors help us to deliver the exceptional customer service on which we pride ourselves.

Ellie Parker, Senior Service Advisor

What first drew you towards a career in Service?

“I've always been interested in cars & I'm a real chatty people person who thrives in a customer service role, so it was the perfect career for me.”

Can you talk us through a typical day within your role as Senior Service Advisor?

“A typical day for me can be anywhere from taking calls, checking customers in for their appointment, booking service appointments, job card prep, pre calling customers for the next day and completing online training to continuously improve my customer service skills & Volkswagen brand knowledge.”

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

“At the moment Pink pony club by Chappel Roan!”

 

Abi Fisher, Service Advisor

What does customer satisfaction mean to you?

“Throughout my whole work life customer satisfaction has always been a priority to me, because at the end of the day there is no business without the customers. I truly love getting to know our customers, old and new, on a more personal level, this gives them and me a familiar feeling when entering the showroom.”

What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?

“The most rewarding thing about my role is that every day we play a part in getting people back on the roads, solving problems no matter how small or large. It fills me with joy to know that no matter what is wrong with the customers vehicle, we will always try our best to get them back to road promptly, so they can go about their normal day.” 

If you were on Mastermind, what would your specialist subject be

“My mastermind specialist subject would probably be darts, as I play for one of the teams on our local darts league.”

What advice would you give to someone looking to start their career as a parts advisor?

"As a Parts Advisor every day is different. You'll learn good communication and service skills, and the knowledge you pick up is a great pathway to progress in the motor trade."

What’s one thing on your bucket list that you really want to do?

"I would love to go to New Zealand one day."
