Lloyd Motor Group has a fantastic opportunity for a talented Retail Sales Manager to join the sales team at Lloyd KIA Carlisle.

For this role you will be the driving force behind the daily performance of the sales floor. Reporting directly to the General Sales Manager, your role is to drive the department forward. You will be focusing primarily on enquiry management, developing sales strategies, managing stock, coaching Sales Executives, and ensuring both the customer experience and showroom standards reflect the Kia and Lloyd brand values.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone who leads from the front and thrives on getting the best out of people and processes.

Salary: Basic salary with OTE £67,000
Hours: 45+ Hours per week

Role responsibilities:

Sales & Enquiry Management

  • Own daily sales operations and lead follow-ups across all channels.
  • Maximise lead conversion and drive team performance to exceed targets.
  • Monitor sales KPIs and ensure prompt, professional enquiry handling

Team Leadership

  • Coach and develop Sales Executives through regular 1:1s and daily goal setting.
  • Lead energising morning meetings and foster a high-performance culture.

Marketing & Campaigns

  • Work with the GSM and marketing team on campaigns and promotions.
  • Contribute fresh ideas to boost showroom traffic and digital engagement.
  • Track campaign results and refine strategy as needed.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with FCA, GDPR, and Kia UK standards.
  • Report sales performance and forecasts accurately.
  • Support audits and maintain dealership standards.

The ideal Retail Sales Manager will hold the following skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience in an automotive sales management or controller role.
  • Must be able to prove a sense of urgency, energy and commitment to the role.
  • Strong understanding of modern lead management and CRM systems.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire a sales team to hit and exceed targets.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and customer service skills.
