When it comes to charging your MINI, you can charge from your house or use a public charging station.

Charging your electric MINI on the move is simple; with over 39,000 charge points at over 14,000 EV charge stations in the UK, you are never too far away from a full battery.

To help you charge on the go using Apps such as Pod Point, Zap-Map and ChargepointNetwork UK will help you locate and plan your journey around charging point locations. As well as this MINI Charging offers a tariff system for drivers to access charging station across the UK and Europe.

Charging at home

A Type 2 (AC) will come as standard with your electric MINI, which will work with a home charging unit or public charging point where the AC power supply is increased. If you don't have access to a home charging unit, don't worry! The MINI Flexible Fast Charger 2.0 cable can be purchased from your Lloyd MINI Retailer, so you can charge at home without a wall box. However, if you would like a faster charge, with a MINI 3-phase 11 kW wallbox you will be at full charge in around 3.5 hours, meaning a x3 faster charge than a standard charger. If you are interested in fitting a wallbox charger, contact us to find a MINI approved electrician in your area.

Charging in public

Charging in public is a simple and streamlined process, and you can find over 39,000 charge points at over 14,000 EV charge stations in the UK. There are three types of public chargers available: Rapid Charging, Fast Charging, and Slow Charging. An increasing number of public spaces, such as shopping centres and supermarkets, offer free use of their charging facilities. Type 2 Chargers require you to bring your own Type 2 cable, while CCS Fast Chargers include the cable, and is the standard for rapid charging in the UK and Europe.
