When it comes to charging your MINI, you can charge from your house or use a public charging station.

Charging your MINI Electric on the move is simple; with over 18,000 charging points available to the public up and down the country, you are never too far away from a full battery.

To help you charge on the go using Apps such as Pod Point, Zap-Map and ChargepointNetwork UK will help you locate and plan your journey around charging point locations. As well as this MINI Charging offers a tariff system for drivers to access charging station across the UK and Europe.

Charging at home

Included with your MINI Electric is the standard charging cable and adapter which is compatible with your plug sockets at home and is especially useful for charging your MINI overnight. However, if you would like a faster charge, with a MINI 3-phase 11 kW wallbox you will be at full charge in around 3.5 hours, meaning a x3 faster charge than a standard charger. If you are interested in fitting a wallbox charger, contact us to find a MINI approved electrician in your area.

Charging in public

Charging in public is a simple and streamlined process. You can charge via a Mode 3 cable at public 11 kW charging stations. Several public charging stations are equipped with both alternating current (AC) via a Type 2 connector and direct current (DC) via CCS plug that gives you up to 50kW electric power. For charging on longer distances, look no further than the Combined Charging System (CCS). Thanks to the Type 2 and CCS compatible connectors, you have total flexibility and can take advantage of every charging station.
