A new role for Dave at Lloyd Land Rover Ripon

 

Meet our new Parts Sales Representative, Dave Evans.

 
Dave has much valued experience of the world of automotive parts, he knows the industry inside and out, having worked his way up different roles in various Parts Deptartments including supervisor and management roles.  Dave joined the Ripon site 4 years ago and our Parts Department has expanded to such an extent that he is now going to work on building relationships with new and existing Trade customers in Ripon and surrounding areas.
 
Let’s find out a bit more about Dave and his story.....
 

How long have you been in the motor industry?

I started my career straight from school as a parts apprentice in 1996 and then moved into a parts advisor in 1998 for 4 years. I have moved up to various supervisor and managment roles ever since. 
 

What do you like about working for Lloyd Motor Group?

Lloyd are always looking to keep staff trained to high standards and the opportunity is always available to progress if you work hard. Another advantage is working with premium brands such as Land Rover and Jaguar. 

What is the best advice you have been given?

I was always brought up to ‘Treat others how you would want to be treated’. I think this has stood me in good stead throughout my life. 
 

The book or film which has a lasting impact on you?

I enjoy books like 1984 by George Orwell. And the film The Green Mile, starring Tom Hanks is always a favorite. 
 

What do you like doing in your spare time?

In summer when the weather is fine I like to go out walking and work in the garden. Unfortunatly, it is getting to the time of year now when I like to watch Netflix and hibernate. 
 

Tell us 2 truths and a lie about yourself?*

I love to travel.
I hate football.
I love hot weather.
