Michael started in the industry as a panel technician apprentice over 40 years ago and has been the Bodyshop Manager at Lloyd Bodyshop Kelso since 2019.

Tell us about your career so far.

"I started in the motor trade over 41 years ago now and actually started out as a panel technician apprentice. After 15 years in the workshop I moved over to become a vehicle damage assessor. Since joining the Kelso site 21 years ago, I have progressed within the Lloyd Group, becoming Assistant Bodyshop Manager for a short spell, before taking over as Bodyshop Manager in April 2019."

What do you enjoy most about your job?

"My favourite thing about my job is seeing the development of the young apprentices starting out their journey in the trade the same way I did and helping them develop their skills and personalities. I couldn’t be prouder of the team that I have, they make my job that little bit easier!"
