Get to Know Lisa

Let’s start at the beginning. Tell us a little bit about yourself!

I have worked with in the Automotive industry for around 25 Years and for BMW and MINI for 20 Years.  I Have 3 human children and a dog child called Steve (Steven on a Sunday) who plays a big part in our Family.  My guilty pleasure is wine and cheese and I enjoy walking this off in the beautiful Pendle Countryside.


What drew you to Lloyd Motor Group and your position as Local Business Development Manager?

I was adopted by Lloyd Motor Group when they acquired the site here at Colne back in 2006 and have been fortunate enough to work across various functions within the Company, giving me a broad understanding of how the business operates. This has included working in Aftersales, Marketing, CRM and when the opportunity arose to move over to Corporate Sales I leaped at the chance.


How long have you been in the role, and what qualities do you believe make a good Local Business Development Manager?

I have now been in this role for 3 years and I believe a good Business Development manager is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service - this is the key to ensuring ongoing success of the Business, and I pride myself on my strong reputation for quality and integrity.  I am committed to providing customers with exceptional products and services alike.


What do you love most about your job?

I enjoy lots of aspects about my job. However, building relationships and rapport building has to be the favourite part of my job. It is fulfilling to connect with customers and provide them with a product and service that meets their needs.  It is extremely rewarding to establish long-term relationships based on trust and mutual respect.


What has been the highlight when working with Lloyd Motor Group?

I couldn't possibly choose one particular thing.  Overall, the supportive culture is what makes me excited to come to work every day, knowing that I am part of a team that values and supports one another. I have always been made to feel like a valued member of the team. Lloyd Motor Group truly cares about their employees’ wellbeing and growth, providing training and development opportunities to help us reach our full potential.


What is your favourite car?

BMW X5 - this has been a firm favourite of mine for a while!What’s not to love about this luxury, powerful SUV?
Also the MINI JCW - fun sporty and agile. Add the quirky extras and it certainly stands out from the crowd.


What do you love about the BMW Brand?

The luxury brand has a reputation for quality, reliability, performance and class. Its advanced technology makes it an extremely safe and comfortable drive.


What do you love about the MINI Brand?

The MINI is iconic, with its history dating way back to the 1950s.  It’s a timeless compact and most certainly a fun car to drive.


Do you drive an EV? If so tell us about your experience?

I do and I absolutely love it! You do not compromise on anything - from comfort to performance, they are amazing cars. What's not to love about the EV? The tax incentives, lower maintenance costs and environmental benefits mean that driving an EV isn’t just a pleasure, it can be a financially smart decision to make.


What are you most looking forward to for the next 12 months?

I am genuinely looking forward to next 12 months of working for Lloyd Motor Group as I have the pleasure of continuing to work with our team at Lloyd Colne.  We pride ourselves on commitment to excellence in customer service and I look forward to continuing to exceed expectations.  I am proud to say I am part of such a fantastic team and company.
