Lloyd Kelso continue their partnership with BSARU

Company News

This week the team at Lloyd Kelso caught up with BSARU Deputy Team Leader Scott Thompson to discuss their exciting developments and he even allowed the team opportunity to view the progress their new HQ!

Nearly four years In the making, the new HQ ( although still partially under construction) is now nearly fully operational. Main features include a spacious new vehicle hanger to accommodate the teams Land Rover Defenders and custom built Mercedes Van rescue vehicles, a training room to hold regular training and meetings and a control room that they can use as a communications hub for the whole operation.

The charity relies heavily on the generosity of individuals, local businesses, and grants to realise its vision. Donations are crucial in ensuring BSARU has the necessary resources to continue life-saving work effectively. On average it costs around £30,000 annually to keep the charity running so all donations are welcome to ensure the team can continue to provide the local community with their aid. However, completing the new base remains challenging due to the lack of funding. Land Rover Kelso were delighted to hand over a cheque for £404 as part of their Charity Partnerpship with BSARU. For every Land Rover Kelso customer who completes a customer satisfaction survey, they will donate £2 on your behalf. These donations will help fund regular training for the team as well as contributing towards the completion of the new HQ.
