Lloyd Land Rover York Partner with York RLFC

Lloyd Land Rover York are delighted to announce their partnership with York RLFC!

Jess Dee, York Knights, David McIntyre, Head of Business at Lloyd Land Rover York, Clint Goodchild, York RLFC Club Chairman, and Ata Hingano, York Knights.

York RLFC is a perfect fit as a partner for Lloyd Land Rover York, due to Land Rover’s longstanding association with Rugby. In particular, Defender has over 20 years of heritage within rugby around the world, from grassroots to elite.

This partnership sees Lloyd Land Rover York sponsor both York RLFC squads: The men’s Knights team, and the women’s Valkyrie team. Both professional rugby league teams of York RLFC play their home games at York Community Stadium.

As part of the partnership, their VIP Match Day car park will be renamed as the “Lloyd Motor Group VIP Car Park”, and our Club Car will be parked at the stadium entrance on match days.

This partnership comes at a significant time for Rugby League - At the end of the 2024 season, Rugby League will undergo a revolution, with promotion and relegation becoming a thing of the past. Instead, the league will transition to a franchise-style competition through a grading system. As part of this, York RLFC will score in within the top 12 teams in the league, which will place them in the top tier of the sport from 2025.
