MINI Packs Explained
The MINI brand is synonymous with style, innovation, and performance and over the years have developed a number of packages designed to allow customers to personalise, upgrade and perfect their MINIs.
For new MINIs from 2022 onwards, MINI have streamlined their product offering, combining option packs to make them easier to understand. This now means a customer can choose from the optional Premium and Premium Plus packs. Prior to this, a number of packs were available and continue to exist on used MINIs. This guide will explain the most popular packs available on new and used MINIs.
New MINIs.
MINI Premium Pack
All new MINIs now come as standard with the Premium Pack and as an option the Premium Plus Pack can be selected. Their features include:
• Automatic air conditioning
• Comfort access
• Alarm system
• Steptronic transmission

• Additional interior lighting
• Electric folding door mirrors

In the upgraded version of the Premium Pack, the Premium Plus Pack features additional specification:

New MINI Countryman Activity Pack
Unique to the new model MINI Countryman, and to aid you in your big adventures, this pack comes with the following:
- Larger-capacity Fuel Tank
- Luggage Compartment Separating Net
- Rear Sliding Seats
- Picnic Bench

MINI Comfort Pack
The MINI Comfort Pack was a much sought after addition to the specification in the MINI line up, offering everything you needed to get from A to B in style and comfort.
MINI Comfort Pack Features (post 2021):
• Automatic air-conditioning
• Front centre armrest
• Heated front seats
• Storage Compartment Pack
• Comfort Access System
• Passenger seat height adjustment
• Rear Park Distance Control (PDC) (standard on all other models apart from MINI Hatch Classic models)
Comfort Pack features (pre 2021 update) also included:
• Front centre armrest
• Rear Park Distance Control - (already standard on MINI Convertible and New MINI Countryman models)
• Floor mats in velour
• Passenger seat height adjustment
• Heated front seats
• Storage Compartment Pack
Comfort Plus Pack (post 2021)
The Comfort Plus Pack contains all of the features of the Comfort Pack plus additional options including:
• Rear-view camera
• Folding and auto-dimming mirrors with dipping parking function; including MINI logo projection
• Parking Assistant including Front Park Distance Control (helps you find a suitable parking space and makes parallel parking easy; you just have to brake and accelerate when required)
Comfort Pack features (pre 2021 update) also included:
• Rear-view camera
• Park Distance Control, front and rear
• Parking Assistant (helping you find a suitable space, which makes parallel parking easier, driver has to only operate brake and accelerator as required)
• Auto-dimming and folding exterior mirrors and interior rear-view mirror
MINI Navigation Pack
The Navigation Pack now comes as standard on all MINI Countryman, MINI Clubman and MINI Electric models. It is an optional extra on both the MINI Convertible and MINI Hatch models.
The Navigation Pack includes:
• MINI Navigation system with 8.8-inch screen
• Apple CarPlay
• Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI)
Navigation Pack (pre 2021)
• MINI Navigation system with 6.5-inch display (8.8-inch display on the new MINI Countryman models only)
• Apple CarPlay
• MINI Connected*
• Visual Boost Radio
On MINI Electric, MINI Clubman and the new MINI Countryman models, this pack also comprises additional equipment:
• Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI)
• Remote Services
• Digital display cockpit
• ConnectedDrive Services
MINI Navigation Plus Pack
The Navigation Plus pack is an upgraded version of the Navigation Pack, the MINI Hatch and MINI Convertible models now include the following features:
• Digital display cockpit (5-inch digital instrument cluster behind steering wheel)
• Head-up Display
• Enhanced Bluetooth with wireless charging
• MINI Connected XL
Navigation Pack features (pre 2021 update) also included:
• MINI Navigation system with 8.8-inch touch display (with split screen functionality)
• Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI)
• Enhanced Bluetooth with wireless charging
• Digital display cockpit
• Concierge Service
• Remote Services

MINI Driving Assistant Pack
The Driving Assistant Pack provides you with everything you need to travel safely and efficiently – MINI style.
• Camera-guided automatic cruise control
• Electric Parking Brake
• High-beam Assistant
• Lane departure warning with steering wheel vibration
• Speed limit and traffic sign information
• High-beam Assistant
• City collision mitigation for pedestrians and rear end collision with vehicles
• Brake conditioning to reduce stopping distances prior to a collision, if a collision cannot be avoided, it reduces the impact
MINI Tech Pack
The MINI Tech Pack offers a range of advanced features that enhance the driving experience and improve safety.
• Features include:
• MINI Connected XL
• Navigation XL
• Enhanced Bluetooth with USB audio
• Head-Up Display
• Rear View Camera
• Harman Kardon Hi-Fi system.
The pack was phased out in November 2018.
MINI Media Pack
The MINI Media Pack adds some practicality to your MINI by providing a range of convenient and innovative features that help drivers stay connected, entertained, and in control while on the road.
• 8.8" screen, MINI Connected
• MINI Connected XL Journey Mate
• Enhanced Bluetooth with USB audio mobile preparation.
MINI Sports Pack
The MINI sports pack includes a range of performance and styling upgrades designed to enhance your MINIs style and motoring experience.

MINI Salt Pack
The MINI Salt Pack was an entry-level pack that can be found on used MINI One models and included:

MINI Pepper Pack
An upgraded version of the previously mentioned Salt Pack, the Pepper Pack featured on the MINI One and MINI Cooper models and gave customers everything the Salt Pack did but also included:

• MINI Excitement Pack
• Dual-zone automatic air-conditioning
• Auto-lights
• Leather steering wheel
• Rain sensitive wipers

• Mirror covers in body colour
MINI Chili Pack
The MINI Chilli pack is particularly popular and can be found across a variety of models including MINI One, MINI Cooper, MINI Cooper S and the MINI John Cooper Works models. The Chilli Pack was an upgrade to the Pepper Pack and included the same features plus:
• 3-spoke leather steering wheel - multi-function including cruise control
• LED headlights/foglights
• MINI Driving Modes
• Rear roof spoiler
• Upgraded alloy wheels
• White indicators
• Half leather sports seats
• Sport suspension
MINI John Cooper Works Sports Pack
Bring MINIs racing DNA to life. Available on a select few MINI 3-Door and 5-Door Hatches. This pack includes the following:

• 17" Track Spoke alloys in black
