MINI Models Secure Three Wins at October’s Industry Awards
October 2022 came to a very successful close for MINI UK, with the MINI Convertible and Clubman taking home a trio of trophies between them at last month’s industry awards.
Amongst their accolades last month, MINI UK celebrated a double win at the Carbuyer Best Car Awards 2023. The Carbuyer Best Car Awards celebrate excellence across the board, with models having to excel in the areas of running costs, practicality, technology, performance and safety to be considered for an award. The MINI Convertible scooped the award for Best Convertible, with Richard Ingram, Editor at Carbuyer, stating that ‘Year after year, the MINI Convertible simply cannot be beaten’.
True to Ingram’s comments, the MINI Convertible also collected the award for Best Used Convertible Car, and was highly praised for its value for money. Ingram added: ‘No matter your budget, if you're after an affordable, fun, four-seat convertible, the MINI is our top choice’.
Not only does the MINI Convertible look sporty and sleek, but its Twinpower Turbo engine cuts back on fuel consumption and creates greater efficiency, all whilst still packing a punch. Its electrically-powered soft top folds in 18 seconds flat and it can also optionally be completed with a ‘MINI Yours’ soft top, featuring a unique woven Union Jack design.

Alongside recent recognition for the MINI Convertible, the MINI Clubman was crowned Dog-Friendly Car of the Year by the 2022 News UK Motor Awards for the second year running. Over the past year, MINI has become the very first car retailer to be supported by Dogs Trust, and has teamed up with the charity to ensure that their showrooms are as accessible as possible for four four-legged friends. MINI UK has also trained its staff on how to greet dogs of all shapes and sizes, dog health and safety and safe car travel.
With so many dog-friendly features, it’s easy to see why the MINI Clubman remains on the top spot. Being one of the biggest MINI models, the MINI Clubman allows ample space for dogs of all shapes and sizes, so that pets can stand up and turn around comfortably. Because of the Clubman’s unique split door design and low base, dogs can jump in and out of the boot with ease, and mesh guards and mats are also available to divide the car and protect its interior from muddy paws.
