BIG LOVE: Lloyd Cockermouth Get Their Bake On For Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team
Lloyd Cockermouth have been celebrating all things #BIGLOVE by hosting a 'Cake Off' in an effort to raise money for their chosen charity of the year, Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team!
On Thursday 20th July, the whole team at Lloyd Cockermouth went head-to-head to showcase their baking skills in the hope to be crowned The Great Mountain Rescue Cake Off Star Baker.
From delicious sponge cakes to tasty cookies and cupcakes, the team whipped up a range of treats and invited members of the local community to visit their showroom and indulge their sweet tooth.
The team’s brilliant baking efforts raised a fantastic £550, all of which will be donated directly to the Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team.
Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team is a remarkable group of volunteers operating across the North West of the Lake District. Responding to around 70 incidents each year, including 44 rescues in 2023 so far, the team provide invaluable support and care across the area. With 24/7 availability, the team take on search and rescue operations, administer emergency medical attention to those in need, and educate the public about the risks and hazards associated with mountain activities.
