Lloyd BMW & MINI Carlisle Strengthen Ongoing Partnership with Carlisle Foodbank

Lloyd BMW & MINI Carlisle are proud to continue supporting their chosen charity partner, Carlisle Foodbank, reinforcing a long-standing commitment to the communities they serve across Cumbria.

Since our team’s last visit, the Foodbank has been busier than ever, expanding its facilities and the breadth of support offered to local people. A key development is the successful launch of their community breakout room, now fully operational and hosting vital support sessions for individuals and families within the local area. This welcoming space plays an important role in offering practical help, advice and a sense of connection for those who may need it.

Most recently, the Foodbank team have celebrated the opening of Rachael’s Café—a long-awaited and much-anticipated addition to their premises. Open to the public and those referred for support, the café provides a warm, friendly environment where people can socialise and enjoy a quality meal at a reduced price. Open Monday to Friday from 12:00pm to 2:30pm, the café is named in honour of Rachael, the founder of Carlisle Foodbank, recognising her vision and lasting impact on the community. Alongside the café, visitors can also access subsidised food through the Foodbank’s shop.



As part of our continued partnership, Lloyd Apprentices Megan and Nathan recently visited the Foodbank’s headquarters to learn more about the incredible work being delivered by Steph, Brenda and the wider team. During their visit, they also lent a helping hand by packing food parcels for referred clients—an experience that highlighted first-hand the dedication, compassion and teamwork required to keep this essential service running.
