BMW Models Secure 5 Wins at October’s Industry Awards

Company News

BMW has triumphed at recent industry awards, securing an impressive five wins over the last month. These wins saw the brand dominate the Carbuyer Best Car Awards 2023, with three of its models scooping an award.

Taking home the award for Best Sports Car, the BMW 2 Series Coupé was described by judges as ‘a great all-rounder’ at the Carbuyer Best Car Awards 2023. To be considered for an award at the Carbuyer Best Car Awards, a model needs to have excelled in the areas of running costs, safety, technology, performance and practicality, and must demonstrate exceptional performance across the board. The car was praised by judges for its 'strong engines and efficiency, plus that usual BMW handling'.

The BMW 2 Series Coupé sets new standards in terms of dynamics, aesthetics and emotional appeal. With all-new technology and driver assistance features, the model is built for driving, and combines traditional BMW coupé elements with contemporary design details to stand out in all of the right ways.

Alongside the BMW 2 Series Coupé, the BMW i3 was another winner for the judges at the Carbuyer Best Car Awards. Despite production coming to an end earlier in the year, the model won the award for Best Used Small Electric Car, with the judges describing the vehicle as ‘eye-catching, great to drive and brilliantly efficient’.

The final award taken home by BMW at the Carbuyer Best Car Awards was for the BMW i4, which was crowned Best Company Car. The i4 was described by judges as ‘a fantastic all-rounder’, which is ‘great to drive’ and ‘loaded with technology’. Taking centre stage, the i4 impressed other judges across the industry, winning another two accolades at other award ceremonies.

At the Parkers New Car Awards, the model bagged the win for Best Company Car 2023. The Parkers New Car Awards seek to provide information to support the public with their car buying experience, and Keith Adams, editor at Parkers, applauded the ‘deeply impressive’ i4 for its value and affordable tax.

Judged by a panel of expert automotive journalists at the 2022 News UK Motor Awards, the i4 won its third and final award of the month for Company Car of the year. Judges included The Sun’s Rob Gill and Rory White, and Nick Rufford from Sunday Times magazine. Sunday Times Driving commented on the i4, saying ‘Business drivers value many things but top of the list is tax savings, and the pure-electric BMW i4 certainly fits the bill in that regard’.

The awards presented to the BMW i4 last month bring its total number of accolades to nine in the UK alone this year. The all-electric model delivers an outstanding driving experience by combining next-level performance with modern comforts. Equipped with fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology, the BMW i4 can go from 10% to 80% charge in just 30 minutes, and can Covering up to 366 miles on a single charge.
