Lloyd Carlisle MINI Prepare to Take On The Big Golf Race for Prostate Cancer UK
Lloyd Carlisle MINI are proud to announce that 5 members of the team will be taking on an Ultra Marathon in The Big Golf Race on June 20th 2023, all in an effort to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
The challenge will see the team: Jamie Bingley (Brand Manager), Mike Brown (Retail Sales Manager), Ian Bell (Finance Manager), James Routledge (Sales Executive) and Jordan Coulson (Sales Executive) attempt to play 100 holes of golf, and cover approximately 35 miles, all in one day.
The task is being split over two separate golf courses in the local area, both of which have kindly supported the team on their challenge: Stoney Holme Golf Course and Eden Golf Club.
The team are hoping to complete three and a half rounds at Stoney Holme (64 holes) followed by two full rounds at Eden Golf Club (36 holes) with an estimated tee-off time of 4:00am and a (hopeful) completion time of around 11:00pm.
Jamie Bingley, Brand Manager at Lloyd Carlisle MINI, said of the upcoming challenge:
“What started out as what we thought would be a fun way to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK, we are quickly realising this is going to be a truly challenging task to complete. Completing 100 holes over 35 miles all on foot with no buggy is a pretty daunting task the more we think about it – but we’re extremely excited to take on this challenge and hope we can make a significant contribution to help the fight against prostate cancer.”
