Following the unveiling of the all-electric BMW i3, BMW has officially expanded the new 3 Series family with three standout new variants: the highly efficient BMW 320, the exhilarating six-cylinder BMW M350 xDrive, and a preview of the upcoming all-electric performance pinnacle, the BMW i3 M60 xDrive.

Demonstrating BMW’s technology-open approach, the expanded line-up ensures that whether choosing pure electric or advanced petrol power with 48V mild-hybrid technology, drivers experience the signature sporting character and technological innovation that has defined the 3 Series for over 50 years.

The New Engine Variants at a Glance

Each new model brings a distinct personality to the 3 Series range, spanning everyday efficiency to pure M Performance dynamic power:
 

• BMW 320:

  Serving as an accessible entry point into the new petrol 3 Series range, the 320 is powered by the latest-generation 2.0-litre four-cylinder in-line engine featuring BMW TwinPower Turbo technology and 48V mild-hybrid efficiency. It delivers a refined, responsive drive tailored for effortless daily commutes and long-distance cruising.

• BMW M350 xDrive:

  The new flagship of the combustion engine range elevating BMW’s legendary six-cylinder in-line engines to a new level. Combining a 3.0-litre petrol unit with a 48V starter-generator, it develops 326 kW (443 hp), launching from 0–100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds.

BMW i3 M60 xDrive (Preview):

Set to top the all-electric 3 Series range, this ultra-potent M Performance variant will bring exceptional electric performance and dynamic capability when it officially joins the lineup.

Innovation in Driving Dynamics & "Drift Moment"

Unforgettable driving pleasure remains at the heart of the new 3 Series platform. While the all-electric models utilize the high-speed 'Heart of Joy' central processing stack, the combustion-engine models feature an optimized BMW Driving Stack honed for total precision.

• Exclusive M Performance Styling: The BMW M350 xDrive features striking M Yellow Lights inspired by motorsport design, making a bold visual statement on the road.

• All-New Drift Moment: In a first for M Performance 3 Series models, the M350 xDrive introduces 'Drift Moment'. Activated via the Central Display, it sends power exclusively to the rear wheels, allowing drivers to experience controlled sideways dynamics previously reserved for high-performance BMW M models.

• Adaptive M Suspension: Standard on the M350 xDrive and optional across the range, ensuring the perfect balance between track-inspired agility and everyday ride comfort.

Shared Neue Klasse Design & Next-Gen Interior

All variants share the bold, minimalist design language of the Neue Klasse, featuring a 2.5-box silhouette, automatic flush door handles, and light-alloy wheel options ranging from 18 to 20 inches on combustion models (up to 21 inches on electric).

Inside, the cabin introduces BMW Panoramic iDrive powered by Operating System X, seamlessly blending the full-width BMW Panoramic Vision projection, an intuitive 17.9-inch Central Display, and integrated Amazon Alexa+ AI functionality for effortless voice interaction.
