Leading the Charge Event: Electrifying Travel in Cumbria

Company News

On Tuesday 14th March, our Lloyd Corporate Team attended the Leading the Charge - Electrifying Travel in Cumbria event in Keswick. This informative event allowed local businesses and organisations in Cumbria to learn more about making the switch to electric directly from EV experts.

Our expert team were on hand throughout the event to answer any questions about electric cars, including our Business Development Executive at Lloyd Kia Carlisle, Emma Wilkinson; Head of Business at Lloyd Volvo Carlisle, Gary Horn; Local Business Development Manager at Lloyd Jaguar Carlisle, Jason McAleese; and our Group Corporate & Business Manager, Mark Sheedy.

As snow began to fall, the team showcased some our fantastic electric vehicles, offering test drives and chatting through the different options for businesses available through Lloyd Motor Group.

As well as a range of exhibitors, the event also had a packed line-up of speakers, including our Local Business Development Manager for Lloyd BMW and MINI, Jonathan Jeffrey. Jonathan spoke to the attendees about how Lloyd Motor Group encourage the adoption of EVs via our Lloyd MINI Local Influencers Campaign, and support local businesses in making the switch to electric.

This event was run by Cumbria’s Electric Vehicle Charging Partnership, a group of organisations from across Cumbria, who work to deliver a coordinated approach to addressing the future electric vehicle charging needs across Cumbria. Despite the cold weather, it was a fantastic event, offering the opportunity for attendees to learn more about the EV eco system.

The Lloyd Corporate team look forward to future events to showcase the wide range of electric vehicles available at Lloyd Motor Group, and to help more local businesses navigate their journey of switching to electric!
