Celebrating Success: Sam Holladay Passes His Customer Service Apprenticeship

Congratulations are in order at Lloyd Motor Group! Sam Holladay has completed his Customer Service Apprenticeship with a distinction!

Joining the Lloyd South Lakes BMW team with a real passion for cars, Sam began his apprenticeship keen to start a career in the motor trade while gaining a qualification along the way. Since then, he has built up skills in time management, data protection and handling customer queries in a positive and professional way, as well as the confidence to communicate with customers both on the phone and face to face.

What inspired you to apply for the BMW apprenticeship programme?

"I chose to apply for my apprenticeship at BMW as I had an initial interest in cars and wanted to be able to begin a career in the motor trade and gain another qualification whilst learning on the job."
 

Can you share a moment during your apprenticeship where you felt you really made an impact or achieved something you're proud of?

"Getting my results was a moment that I felt proud during my apprenticeship as I managed to achieve a distinction, so I felt as though the work I had put in throughout my apprenticeship had paid off with a result I was proud of." 
 

Can you describe what your day-to-day role involves and the key skills you’re developing?

"Throughout the apprenticeship I feel as though I have developed many key skills such as time management, data protection and how to handle objections/ complaints in a positive and professional manner. The apprenticeship has also massively helped me build my confidence communicating with customers both over the phone and face to face." 
 

What advice would you give to someone thinking about a BMW apprenticeship or a career in the motor trade?

"Do it, it is a great way to begin working in the motor trade and gaining helpful skills whilst avoiding the costs that come from university."
 

And finally…..what is your dream BMW to drive?

"A BMW Z1"
