The sprint from 0-62mph takes just over five seconds, while its top speed is limited to 155mph. Interior quality is as excellent as you'd expect, with swathes of metal, leather and high-gloss plastic leaving you in little doubt that the 7 Series is luxury product, with almost no nasty materials to be found. It also benefits from the latest BMW iDrive 7.0 operating system, with more computing power and useful features beamed onto the widescreen infotainment display. Space in the all-important back seats is even better than before. Aimed squarely at transporting people and families between their destinations, sitting in the rear of the 7 Series giving passengers plenty of room as they travel around. The grille is joined by slimmer headlights, a new bumper with enlarged lower air dams, taller hood and enlarged front quarter vents. Out back, there are slimmer, three-dimensional light housings connected by a tiny light strip and a redesigned bumper with wider exhaust outlet cut-outs for a more imposing stance. The 7-series is definitely the most exciting car to drive in the luxury saloon class. Combined with BMW s xDrive four-wheel drive system, the 7-series is an amazingly capable car given its 1755kg kerb weight. Body control, particularly in the Sport or Adaptive driving modes.
