Lloyd Select Kelso Taekwondo Talent Strikes Gold

Rising Taekwondo star, Craig Anderson is continuing to make his mark on both the national and international stage, adding an impressive series of medals to his growing list of achievements.

Since his last visit to Lloyd Select Kelso, the young athlete has delivered a string of outstanding performances across major competitions.



His recent medal run began in November 2025 at the Chang Ung Cup in Wishaw, where he secured a bronze medal in Sparring (10–13 years), demonstrating composure and technical ability against strong opposition.

In January 2026, he competed at the Scottish Champions League, producing an exceptional performance. He claimed gold in Patterns (10–13 years) and added a further bronze medal in Sparring — underlining his versatility and all-round competitive strength.

His most recent success came on the international stage at the Flanders Fields tournament in Mechelen, Belgium, where he achieved an outstanding gold medal in Sparring (8–12 years, 55.1–65kg). Competing abroad and returning home with gold marks a significant milestone in his development and signals his growing reputation within the sport.



Following these achievements, he is now in full preparation mode for the upcoming Scottish Championships in April. At the same time, he is working towards earning selection for the Scotland team at the next ITF World Championship.

Craig's continued success is a testament to his dedication, discipline and relentless work ethic. As he sets his sights on further honours in 2026, the Lloyd Select Kelso team will be watching with pride as this promising young athlete continues his journey on the national and world stage.
