Lloyd South Lakes are delighted to partnering up with Kendal Mountain Festival, an epic a four-day celebration of outdoor culture: films, speakers, literature and art.

Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Lake District, Kendal is gearing up to host the much-anticipated Kendal Mountain Festival, returning for its 43rd edition from 16th to 19th November. This four-day extravaganza promises to be a gathering like no other, where all those who cherish the great outdoors can come together to share their tales of adventure through the diverse mediums of film, book events, music, outdoor activities, and unforgettable parties.

Lloyd South Lakes BMW will be providing Kendal Mountain Festival support team with courtesy cars, including the all-electric BMW iX3 and BMW X3 330e, to help drive headline speakers around Kendal and provide support for the event.

This year's festival is set to feature a stellar lineup of headline speakers, including round the world cyclists Mark Beaumont and Jenny Graham, acclaimed nature writer Rob Macfarlane, adventurers Dwayne Fields and Phoebe Smith and endurance athlete and presenter Louise Minchin. Adding a melodic touch to the festivities, the renowned folk singer and environmentalist Sam Lee will serenade audiences with his soulful melodies.

Lloyd BMW’s support for the event comes at an opportune time and aligns perfectly with BMW UK’s prior announcement of their partnership with National Parks UK, called Recharge in Nature.  Recharge in Nature aims to help make the UK’s 15 National Parks even more accessible for electric cars, and also supports projects across the Parks focused on nature restoration, biodiversity, sustainability and well-being.

The UK’s National Parks are visited over 100 million times each year and 90 per cent of these visits are made by car. Given the surging popularity of electric cars, pressure on the limited recharging networks in the National Parks is growing. BMW’s Recharge in Nature project is addressing this with the installation of Pod Point recharging posts at pivotal locations across the UK’s National Parks. Being the most visited of all of the National Parks, the Lake District is the first location for this, and installation of recharging stations is underway.

Alongside the Recharge in Nature Project and our partnership with National Parks UK, and BMW UK, we are also pleased to announce that we are partnering with Lake District National Park, Cumbria Tourism and Another Place, The Lake. The partnership allows us to offer Kendal Mountain Festival goers the chance to enter the Lloyd South Lakes, BMW Competition to WIN an electric experience and two-night stay for two at Another Place in the Lakes Hotel. So, if you are attending Kendal Mountain Festival this weekend, make sure you drop by our stand featuring the BMW iX and enter this fantastic competition, we will be located at the entrance by the information tipi tent.
