Tell us a little bit about yourself!
I’m Atif Latif, age 38. I’m married, and a dad to 3 lovely boys. I live in Nelson, where I’ve lived all my life.

What drew you to Lloyd Colne, and how did you first start working here?
During my apprenticeship, our college asked us to write down three options of dealerships we would like to apply for a position at.

I wrote down my preferences, not believing that Lloyd Colne would be where I’d be given a chance – I couldn’t believe it when I was actually given that opportunity!

How old were you when you first started working at Lloyd Colne?
I was 18 years old when I started working here, initially as a trainee working up towards a permanent position within the business.

What does a typical day in the life of a Parts Advisor look like?
A typical day in the life of a Parts Advisor will involve booking, processing and picking the overnight Parts delivery for retail, internal and trade customers. Once this is complete, we can then focus more on selling parts.

Where do you see yourself in another 20 years’ time?
Truthfully, I’m not sure! 20 years is a long time, but as of today, I am more than happy here at Lloyd Colne.

What would you say to anyone wanting to enter to automotive industry?
Not to be overwhelmed, and just embrace it. For me, even 20 years later, I’m still learning every day.

What would you say to your colleagues at Lloyd Colne after 20 years of service here?
I’d like to say a big thank you to them for being the best colleagues in the world. From all the way back in 2003 to present day, my colleagues (especially in Parts) have been like a family in and out of work.

Happy Workiversary, Atif, and thank you for all of your hard work over the years!
