World EV Day is a global celebration that takes place annually on September 9th, where people from around the world come together to raise awareness of electric vehicles and the ways that they can benefit us and our environment. • Lower Running Costs – A full charge in a pure electric vehicle gives a typical range of around 220 miles and costs around £23 if charged at home. Driving 220 miles in a petrol or diesel car will cost around £41 in fuel. 

• Cheaper Maintenance  – There are fewer moving parts in an EV compared to conventional vehicles, so servicing and maintenance costs are lower. Research shows electric cars cost at least 30% less to service and maintain.
• Better Driving - Electric vehicles have more responsive acceleration and regenerative braking when easing off the accelerator. They tend to have a low centre of gravity, which also improves handling, comfort and safety.
