Keep reading to discover how both of their careers have progressed with us over the last decade.

Please tell us a bit about yourself, Debi.
I started with Lloyd South Lakes BMW as their ‘first’ Receptionist in February 2016. My 3 daughters were in full time education then and I wanted to build a career for myself. On day one I knew I’d found the right place and a fantastic team of people to work alongside and I never looked back.
Can you tell us about your career journey with us, from where you started to how you got to where you are today?
After observing the service team, I aspired to be a service advisor, and 18 months later I succeeded. My friend & colleague, Lee, was my mentor encouraging me and instilling confidence and an ability I didn’t know I had. Every day is different, fast paced with lots of challenges but the highlight is meeting and chatting to our customers and providing excellent customer service. I’ve not just celebrated 10 years’ with Lloyd South Lakes BMW but 10 years working side by side with a fantastic team of people. I was recently promoted to Assistant Service Manager, a proud moment for me and I welcome the challenges and look forward to what’s ahead.
Any advice you’d give to someone just starting out in the Motor Trade?
You don’t need to be passionate about cars to start working for Lloyd South Lakes BMW, the passion comes naturally once you are surrounded by cutting edge technology and the beautiful designs of each model which just keep getting better.
Where would be your dream road trip?
I tour Europe on my BMW 1250 GSA and last year rode the Stelvio Pass in Northern Italy, The Grossglockner as well as many more alpine passes even the magnificent Dolomites. But I’d love to ride Route 66 and one or two in Alaska.

Please tell us a bit about yourself, Lee.
I joined Lloyd South Lakes BMW in February 2016 as a Service advisor. During my time in the service department, I developed a strong experience working with customers and supporting the workshop team. Last year I progressed to a role of joint Assistant Service Manager with Debi , where we support Mike (Service Manager) and the team and ensure we continue to deliver the high level of service expected from BMW.
What do you enjoy most about working for Lloyd South Lakes?
I enjoy working in the service department because every day is different and I’m constantly learning new things about BMW vehicles and their technology. I also enjoy being part of a supportive team and helping make sure customers receive a high level of service.
What achievement are you most proud of over the past 10 years? Is there a particular highlight?
I’m most proud of where I am today in my role as assistant Manager, with Mike giving me the belief and confidence to take it on. Also, the strong working relationship with Debi to do this joint role
Any advice you’d give to someone just starting out in the Motor Trade?
I would advise anyone starting in the motor trade to be willing to learn, ask questions, and take every opportunity to gain experience. The industry is constantly evolving, so having a positive attitude and building a strong relationship with colleagues and customers will really help you grow and progress.
Where would be your dream road trip?
Dream road trip would be the Rocky Mountains in Canada down to New Mexico
